Welcome to the Arcade Creek Recreation and Park District! We are located in northeastern Sacramento County, California. The district encompasses five square miles serving Sacramento, Foothill Farms, Carmichael, and North Highlands. The district's population is approximately 23,000.
Along with 3 parks and a nature trail, the district offers park space and facilities at various community locations, for use to facilitate your leisure time needs.
Hamilton Street Park is the location of the Herzog Community Center, it is available for rent for a variety of events. This park has a variety of amenities for use and has a 2/3 mile paved walking path around the park edge.
Arcade Creek Park is a ten acre neighborhood park with a half mile paved walking path, a small picnic shelter, off leash dog park, children's play ground, and serves as the trail head for the Jo Smith Nature Trail which follows Arcade Creek to the American River College campus a half mile to the west. A walk to the ARC Beaver Stadium is approximately 1 mile in length one-way.
Oakdale Park site houses a gymnasium with a stage and kitchen and a community room in coordination with the Twin Rivers Unified School District, it is available for community use during non-school hours and on weekends and holidays.
The district at times co-sponsors programs with neighboring recreation agencies and civic organizations for the community.
